Liberal Blogs

This just in:
Exacerbating things for the Liberals were comments by a party youth leader in British Columbia who recently wrote on an Internet blog that Israel was the "most vile nation in human history," and suggested Hezbollah might be considered freedom fighters.
Thomas Hubert has now resigned his post on the youth wing executive.

Does anyone have a quote from the blog or a link to the blog itself?

And these guys wonder why people don't take "progressive" liberal blogs seriously.

Stephen Taylor covers it pretty well.

Progressive Liberals want the freedom to stone women for not covering themselves, progressive Liberals want the freedom to beat people in the street for not conforming, progressive Liberals want peace through the elimination of Israel, etc. etc....

Besides warehousing all children in state run daycare institutions...

The Ayatollahs, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot would be proud of the 'principles' the Liberals have adopted...

The freedom to beat people in the steet but no freedom of expression?

Ah, you react as though there have never been any conservatives, young or old, that have ever opened there mouths and said something stupid.

I'm gonna go with that Robert.......

"Human rights commissions, as they are evolving, are an attack on our fundamental freedoms and the basic existence of a democratic society…It is in fact totalitarianism. I find this is very scary stuff." (Stephen Harper BC Report Newsmagazine, January 11, 1999)

On Child Poverty:
“These proposals included cries for billions of new money for social assistance in the name of “child poverty” and for more business subsidies in the name of “cultural identity”. In both cases I was sought out as a rare public figure to oppose such projects.” (Stephen Harper The Bulldog, National Citizens Coalition, February 1997)

On Bilingualism:
“After all, enforced national bilingualism in this country isn’t mere policy. It has attained the status of a religion. It’s a dogma which one is supposed to accept without question. … [M]ake no mistake. Canada is not a bilingual country. In fact it is less bilingual today than it has ever been...As a religion, bilingualism is the god that failed. It has led to no fairness, produced no unity, and cost Canadian taxpayers untold millions.” (Stephen Harper Calgary Sun, May 6, 2001)

Federalism:

“It is imperative to take the initiative, to build firewalls around Alberta, to limit the extent to which an aggressive and hostile federal government can encroach upon legitimate provincial jurisdiction.” (Stephen Harper National Post, January 24, 2001, “Open Letter to Ralph Klein”)

On Atlantic Canada:
"There is a dependence in the region that breeds a culture of defeatism," (Stephen Harper CBC News, May 30, 2002)

On Canadians:
“Canada appears content to become a second-tier socialistic country, boasting ever more loudly about its economy and social services to mask its second-rate status…” (Stephen Harper National Post, Dec. 8 2000 p. A18)

“Well I just want to assure you that those kinds of security concerns are widely shared here. Certainly the problems in our porous borders, our immigration system, there are things that we've been raising in the Parliament…Make no mistake, Canada, you know, with its limited resources, our soldiers made an adeq...admirable participation in Afghanistan…” (Stephen Harper Interview with Sheppard Smith, Fox TV, September 13, 2002)

On Western Canadian society:
"You've got to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from eastern Canada: people who live in ghettoes and who are not integrated into western Canadian society." (Stephen Harper, Report Newsmagazine, January 22, 2001)

On the Iraq War:
“I don't know all the facts on Iraq, but I think we should work closely with the Americans.” (Stephen Harper Report Newsmagazine, March 25 2002)

-- OR --

". . . they will put MEN WITH GUNS ON THE STREETS, IN CITIES ION CANADA. WE ARE NOT MAKING THIS UP. wE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO."

Yeah, right. Like they actually THOUGHT that they were allowed to rip off all that adscam money?

Hmm.
Icoholic, have you READ Hubert's comments?
At Chreniak on Politics Thomas Hubert syas:
The Liberal Party is stronger without these violent Zionists in our party. I am glad for them to cease influencing our foreign policy so we are free to promote Canadian values of peace. It amazes me that this community is so absurdly selfish. The only issue that matters to them is the defence of a "state" that survives on the blood of innocent people. Shameful.
At Fuddle Duddle he says:
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. At one point, George Washington was considered a terrorist by the powers that be. History will remember Hezbollah as an organization that stood up to the most vile "nation" in human history.
How do either of these bits of "progressive" brilliance compare with your Harper quotes?
(And by the way, you need to do a study on how Human "Rights" Commissions work. I have a few posts on this blog about them and how they are actually violating the basic civil rights of Canadian citizens.)

I don't see anything wrong with voicing an opinion. Everyone will react different to it. Mr Hubert doesn't like Israel.

So what?

I don't like Israel OR Hezbollah or anyone else in that ridiculous conflict. Anyone that supports either side needs to give their head a shake imho. I think the war machine that is the neo-con nutbag's only wish in life is equally as bad. I see no difference in Christian Extremists (Ann Coulter and her type) and Muslim Extremists.

Oh no, they should blog about me and be repulsed! I'm an evil Godless person that doesn't believe blowing people up is good in any situation!

As for violating basic civil rights.... Conservatives want to do that daily. Just ask anyone that is gay! You probably don't know anyone gay however, because they're evil with their agenda of dressing well and working out.

Vote Green... or something!

When was the last time you heard Ann Coulter advocating one of her minions put on a exploding belt and walk into a marketplace?

When I think of "Christian extremists", I think of those barbaric Mennonites with their perogies. Oh, and those darned Methodists with their theological convictions! And Roman Catholics... oh the horror! They wear crucifixes and recite prayers stuff.

Boy you sure wouldn't want to be trapped on a plane with those crazies, would you?

IcoHolic: Pay careful attention here, because your flawed general stereotyping and faulty gender-profiling, may find you eating your own ankle. Plus, your version of the "hidden agenda" is a contrived hoot, and you know it.

You said:

"... As for violating basic civil rights.... Conservatives want to do that daily. Just ask anyone that is gay! You probably don't know anyone gay however, because they're evil with their agenda of dressing well and working out..."

Wrong.

Also, highly and erroneously assumptive.

I'm in my sixties. I have served in the armed forces. I've got three gay childhood friends (that's friends that I have had regular contact with for more than the past 55 years, and they felt comfortable enough in our teen years, 1951 to 1957, to acknowledge that they were gay.) Two of them have been in solid relationships, with other folks, since their early twenties. On the other hand, my hetero-marriage fizzled after 28 years.

I've also known gay guys in the forces, U.K., U.S. and Canadian.(just about all ranks, up to Col.) Brit Infantry, Brit Paras,in the U.S.Green Berets, the USMC, Special Forces, the NHL and the NFL.

Gay or straight, by the time you get around to our current age, the clothing isn't always so vitally important cause the Depends tend to spoil the silhouette, the keeping fit is overtaken with arthritis, prostate problems, cancer and glaucoma. The belly paunches out more than just a little, hair grows everywhere but on top of one's head, and sometimes the compliments are welcomed, regardless of where they originate, or how sincere they are.

The young waitress, her hand lightly resting on your shoulder, as she asks "What kin I getchew honey?"

Or the buff young gay guy, in the noisy bar, whispering ,soto voce, to his drinking buddy at the bar, "and just WHO is this delightful ole grizzly bear, dearie?" as you struggle past them just as the whole room goes suddenly silent.

There are a number of gay, right slanted conservative bloggers on the planet where I live. How about on yours?

Oh, and by the way How many different Death Sentences do you think the Hezbollah have in their little handbook on Sharia Law?

So you got a choice or two. Maybe even three.

You can back the Libs, 'cause they've brought in Same Sex Marriage, as a smokescreen allowing many of them to rip of the gullible who choose to do battle over other things, sort of majoring on the minors.

In backing them, you don't get to back the Conservatives, 'cause as you've indicated, in your role of their undesignated spokesperson, you already know their hidden agenda, and freely share it with the readers of various blogs.

Not backing the Conservatives, you stick with the Liberals, and their support of the Hezbollah. The libs'll let you get married, but they'll also support the guys who want to kill all the gays just as much as they want to kill the Jews, simply because their "Supreme Universal Manufacturer and His Designated Earthly Rep." hate you all that much.

So. NOW who do you think is the bad dude and just exactly who is the dummy?

That's great petey-boy. Keep laughing.

I laughed all last summer 'cause I saw the portents. All the while the LibMedia wazirs mocked Harper, for his funny outfit with the leather vest at the Cal Stampede. The weeks of taunting columns in the press and RTV along the lines of "...Where's Waldo/Stephen Harper? . . . He's putting on the pork at all these weird BBQ shindings . . ." I just chortled, 'cause I knew what was coming. HO-HO!

The Liberal braintrust underestimated Harper, they overestimated the Liberal strength and they certainly and tragically miscalculated just how severeley gullible they thought the Canadian electorate was, and how willing the citizens of this nation were, to forgive the party that thought it had a personal claim on the national Treasury. HA-HA!

The greatest laugh was at around midnight, January 23rd I think. Correct me if I'm wrong on the date.

Keep practicing your laughing, it'll stand you in good stead come the next election day. That's the day the smiles and laughs and chukles will be owned by Conservatives, and their supporters, who are finally going to truly recapture Canada, for all Canadians, not just for the loony left of the spectrum. HE-HE!

Ho-ho Ha-ha He-he.

Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of ALL of Canada is the HE. He is the who-he who is going to mop the floor with Count Iggleoff, Heady Fried, Dimbulb Dionnne and the ( 36% OVER, Kyoto) Belmonts, or Rae - Day Bob, or any other yahoo who thinks he's got the parts and is ready to walk into the arena against Harper.

Can you say "I (HEART) Hezbollah?"

tango - Those kinda of comments are precisely why we laugh at it. I couldn't help but let out a few full-bellied laughs as I read your attempt at satire. It is also that kind of puffed up arrogance and pride that led to the Liberal downfall... and you know what they say... history has this awful habit of repeating itself.

I will watch and wait. Gimme 30 years.

TangoJuliette said...

30 years? It's gonna take a lot longer to muck out the stables your guys and gals have fouled.

Still, 3 decades without weak-kneed and corrupt, appeasing left-lib-fiberal politicians at the helm and in the trough, might not be too bad a starting point for Canada to be heading into a break-out into the 21st century.

And no, this is NOT puffed up pride and arrogance. We know what comes before a fall.

What you mistake for pride and arrogance is really pride, awareness, knowledge and preparedness, of committed and dedicated Canadians totally fed up with a political party of corrupt and self-important, self-proclaimed "upper-class" twits who had hi-jacked the nation.

We are now in the process of taking it back for the people of Canada.

Resistance is futile. Try tap-dancing.

DO NOT, I repeat: DO NOT attempt any further theft nor embezzlement.
