Stronach on Harper, Emerson

From Canada.com:
Ontario Liberal Belinda Stronach, who defected from the Conservatives to the Liberal Cabinet last spring, said the Emerson appointment undermines the ethics agenda Mr. Harper set out in the election campaign. "I think the Canadian public will look at this and have the right to ask questions," she said. "They're going to be left scratching their heads."
She's kidding, right?
I mean, of all people, how can she feel that she has the right to open her mouth about this? This is yet more proof that she is completely unfit for government.

Good Morning!
And just what would the Belimbo know about ethics?

Funny - when I heard her call into the John Moore on CFRB I was thinking the exact same thing. It actually made me look at the Emerson thing in a positive light...

She doesn't seem to say that Emerson is in the wrong, just that Harper is being a hypocrite. Personally I think that her switch was alot more shady than Emerson's, but she isn't in the wrong in this particular instanace.

That's the irony of hypocrisy: hypocrites are often right in what they say. I mean, Stronach is right. Canadians are looking around scratching their heads. But really, should she be the one saying it?

She was the minister of Irony in the Martin government, apparently now she's been appointed the opposition critic for Irony.
